Born and bred nearby Paris, Priscillia - best known as Tholia - is a multifaceted artist, who creates highly detailed artworks mainly for gaming industry (Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montréal, Marvel, CD Projekt Red...) and for private commissioners.Initially trained as a graphic designer, Tholia used to produce thousands of prints & patterns for the home and fashion industries over ten years, while she dedicated her free time painting tributes to video games.

Tholia's peculiar art style was born from inspirations coming from artists she has been admiring through the years: Alfons Mucha, Lois Van Baarle, Joe Madureira and Tetsuya Nomura, to mention just a few.Full-time independent artist since 2021, Tholia is constantly pushing her skills and now working even closer with gaming and comic industries. Currently under NDA, many exciting projects are expected to be revealed from 2025!

Q1 //. How long do you take to complete the work?

Once I started the sketch, I usually complete the commission within a week, taking in consideration the back and forth via email and validation steps. Of course the time needed can vary a bit according to the complexity of the artwork.

Q3 //. Do you happen to decline a commission?

I may decline a commission if I do not feel comfortable with it, for any reason. If that happens, please do not take it wrong nor personnally. I do want my clients to be happy with their commission. If I do not feel at ease, I may deal with art block, which would be terrible for both of us!That said, I will not cancel a commission that I started already! If I accepted your commission, then you can be sure I will pour much love and care into it until it's finished!

Q4 //. Do you use AI?

Not at all! My art is 100% created by me from scratch, to sketch, to final. You can watch many of my painting processes at my YouTube channel.

Q5 //. What software and tools do you use?

✦ My digital software: I'm sketching and painting exclusively on Procreate since 2020. The auto recording timelapse is so convenient to share my process!✦ My traditional tools: I'm currently using bristol paper, graphite pencil, Derwent colour pencils, Pigma Micron + Staedtler Fineliners and Faber-Castell pen brushes. And I'm softly getting back at watercolor.

Q6 //. Can I request a signed physical copy? (digital works)

Yes! This is an option you can opt-in at the commission form!In that case, the printing, shipping and handling prices will be calculated according to your needs and added to the quote. For your information, the shipping costs are usually about 30€ / 35USD for worldwide, and about 16€ for Europe.

✦ THE QUOTE ✦Once you filled the commission form, I will send you a quote according to your request. I will also give you an estimate schedule, to let you know when I should start working on your commission.Once the quote is agreed and returned signed to me, I will start working following the provided schedule, according to your deadline – if any – and my availability.

✦ THE PAYMENT ✦No upfront payment is required! The payment will be split according to the steps of creation: I will kindly send a PayPal request in between each creation task completion. I will move to the next creation task as soon as the payment is well received for the previous one, and so on until final.⚠ Important note: Make sure to select "Sending to a friend" when paying your PayPal invoice. No refunds will be eligible for my commissions, thus the PayPal Purchase Protection is useless. If you happen to select “Paying for an item or service”, I will have to charge you 5% of the total price to cover the fees I will be charged by PayPal.

✦ THE CREATION STEPS ✦For digital commissions, only low definition images at 28dpi will be shared during the following steps.
The final HD files at 300dpi will be sent after the last payment is received.-// Task 01, THE SKETCH:

✦ THE DELIVERY ✦Once the last payment is received, I prepare a Google Drive folder with all the images from the creation steps. You will need to download the files quickly because after a month they will be purged!For digital commissions, I will provide a high definition .PNG file and a social media friendly file at 72dpi. By the way, my default painting canvas measures 4440x5550px at 300dpi, which is perfect to print up to 16.5 x 23.4 inches (40 x 60 cm). A layered PSD file can be sent on demand too if needed. Specific measures can also be requested up to your needs by leaving a note via the commission form!

For traditional commissions, I will protect the drawing with the greatest care and ship it to you flat in a strong cardboard envelope. For better protection, I can also favor sending the drawing in a tube according to your preference. In all cases, you will receive a tracking number to track your package.

By commissioning me, you agree:✦ Not to use the artwork for commercial purposes of any kind, including NFTs.
✦ Not to train any AI software or tool with the artwork.
✦ Not to share / upload the HD files on social media.

//. Usage of the commission by the Artist

Unless I receive your written disagreement, I may share the artwork on my socials (e.g. Twitter, Instagram...), of course only at a 72 dpi low definition and with a watermark. I may also share the process video on my YouTube channel to show the steps of creation.It is very important for me - as an independant artist - to share the artworks I create and their steps, as a testimony of a human made art. Yet of course, if you do not want me to share the artwork, for any reason, just drop me a note about it while filling the commission form, and I will respect your wish.In any case, I will never ever use your commission for commercial purposes. If I would happen to be willing to use it for such purposes, I would kindly contact you before anything to discuss the matter.
